Rachel Brown-Chidsey provided Response to Intervention training to the District IST during the 2007-2008 school year. In addition, several special education teachers, administrators, and other interventionists received RTI orientation training in the spring of 2007.

Dr. Brown-Chidsley suggests that each building's IST begins by joining with teachers to understand their needs. After developing a safe, collaborate environment, focus may shift to differentiating for all students. One of the tools we have been provided to do this is the Analysis of Student Work (NTC/UCSC). A variety of data sources may be used, including formative, benchmark, or standards-based assessments.
